Chelsea thrash Arsenal to move 12 points clear on the Premier League standings

Premier League club Chelsea have moved 12 points clear on the Premier League standings after beating their arch rivals Arsenal 3-1 in a tough duel played at Stamford bridge on Saturday, February, 4, 2017.

After suffering an embarrassing defeat to Watford in their last game at home, the hope of all Arsenal fans was for their team to soar against the Blues, but the hosts made life difficult for the Gunners.

Marcos Alonso opened the scoring for the Blues in the 13th minutes, before goals from Eden Hazard and former Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas condemned the Gunners to a defeat.
French forward, Olivier Giroud scored the consolatory goal for the Gunners at the death.
Chelsea are now on 59 points after 24 games played this season, and the Blues are leading the Premier League standings.
